Popcorn crunches under my shoes.

Film degree says I paid my dues.

But I'm wiping screens, not writing scenes while the loan folks call in my movie dreams.

Oh!

I got a diploma, they got my check.

Cleaning up seats in the seat of 2neck deep in debt.

They said, "Follow your passion, it'll all work out."

But now collections call and there's no bailout.

sweep these aisles while interest grows.

This ain't the future they said I chose.

They paused the loans, but not for long.

Now they're back and twice as strong.

one.

Whose dreams went dark before they begun.

fade to black, no credit scene.

Just me and this mop and a broken dream.
