About Us
News Reimagined
A startup news company — designed for today's screens, today's attention, and today's need for trust.
Streamlly is a cinematic news network built on one belief: news should make people safer, wiser, and more prepared — not stressed or overwhelmed.
We tell news through short cinematic films.
Most news fights how the brain actually works. Research shows people process information best when it's short, visual, structured, and delivered in a single arc.
So we designed every story to work with the brain, not against it — built to help information stick.
People tell us the same thing again and again:
“It just clicks.”

Most news companies ask you to come to them. We don't.
We bring the news to you — using open ad-supported placement networks across every medium possible.
Streamlly News Breaks can appear:
Through partner distribution inventory, Streamlly has access to over 1 billion addressable screens globally, with availability expected to expand in 2026.
Wherever you're already looking, Streamlly is there.
Same journalism. Different delivery.

Streamlly is 100% free to watch.
No paywalls. No sponsors. No one pays to shape the truth.
Every story airs publicly for free. We aim to place each one on at least 100,000 screens in open ad space — so the news reaches people where they already are.
Then it's up to the community.
With Amplify, anyone can push a story further — sending it to a million more screens in seconds. The community decides which stories travel farthest.
Truth stays free. Reach becomes shared.

Streamlly films are not reenactments. We do not visually depict real-life events or portray real individuals.
That means we do not:
Instead, we use figurative, cinematic storytelling — designed to help people understand real events from a human lens.
The goal isn't to illustrate events. It's to help people understand them — and be informed.
That means we do not:
- Recreate tragedies as they happened
- Put words in anyone's mouth
- Stage moments meant to represent real footage

The goal isn't to illustrate events. It's to help people understand them — and be informed.
Every Streamlly story comes with something deeper: a verified, community newsfeed that gives a 360° view of the event.
Inside the feed are perspectives from people who lived it, witnessed it, reported it, or have expert-level insight.
Not comments. Not noise. Real context.
It's built to reduce bias, remove narrative control, and give equal space to informed perspective. Wherever the story airs — on TV, mobile, or a screen in an airport — one-tap access to the feed is always included.
Viewers don't just watch. They leave with the full picture.

Streamlly was founded in 2019 by filmmaker and entrepreneur Alecia Venkataraman.
It began as a side passion — one person, one device, telling human stories that traditional news often missed. Between 2022 and 2024, those short films gained unexpected traction and revealed something bigger: people wanted news that felt more human, more understandable, and easier to follow.
In 2025, Alecia launched Streamlly as a cinematic news network built on verified reporting, editorial independence, and storytelling designed for the way people process information today.
Today, Streamlly publishes short-form news films supported by real journalists, editors, and a transparent verification process.

Every Streamlly story is held to a strict editorial standard — regardless of format, platform, or reach.
Our editorial process:
Streamlly does not publish opinion, speculation, or editorial commentary. We report what happened — and let the public decide what it means.
AI may assist with tools like editing or workflow — but humans lead every story. Real journalists. Real writers. Real editors. Real actors.
Editorial decisions are made independently — free from advertiser, investor, or political influence.
Our editorial process:
- Human-led research — every story begins with verified reporting from credible, cited sources
- Fact verification — all newsroom facts are verified by an award-winning news industry veteran with over 20 years of experience
- Video review — final videos are reviewed and approved by a communications leader with 7 years leading mass communications for the U.S. Navy
- Final approval — every story is personally approved by our Founder and CEO before publication
- Source attribution — original sources are cited and linked in every story's newsfeed

- If a factual error is identified, a correction is issued as soon as possible
- Corrections are clearly labeled within the story's newsfeed with the date and nature of the change
- The original story film may be updated or re-released with corrected information
- Material corrections that affect the meaning of a story are disclosed publicly
