Transcript
It was lost in 1969.
It slipped off my finger and vanished into the Long Island sound.
And found 56 years later.
Oh, wow.
Oh, this is a whopper.
He kept wondering what to do.
I told him, "If it were your ring, wouldn't you want it back?"
I posted in our Fordham University class of '69 group.
Karen Manning's online post sparked a chain of connections, leading to Alfred's old friend, Ray Faulk.
4 people, once strangers miles apart, joined by one ring and a shared act of kindness that brought it home.
Who'd think after 56 years it'd look new?
Not a scratch, not a fish bite.
This was one I never thought I'd get back,
Now, meet the real Alfred DeStefano, and David Orlowski, the man who brought Alfred's long lost ring home after 56 years.
That's a lot of, uh
That's a lot of paper.
Wow.
I just lost it again.
I can't believe it.
That is it.
Yeah, get me in it too so he, he doesn't
I don't know him, he doesn't know me.
I talked to him on the phone twice now.
That's, no that's- that's pretty cool you got it back after 50 some odd years.
56 years, could you imagine that?
