January 19, 2026 Miami Gardens, Florida — The No. 1-ranked Indiana Hoosiers and the 10th-ranked Miami Hurricanes face off Monday, Jan. 19, at 6:30 p.m. in the College Football National Championship in Miami Gardens, Florida, at Hard Rock Stadium.

It’s a tale of two teams looking to claim college football supremacy once the horns sound and the dust settles. One is Miami, a football powerhouse in days long past, dominant in the 1980s and early 2000s. The other is Indiana, known more for basketball, with football long viewed as an afterthought marked by more losing seasons than they could count.

Now, Indiana looks to cap off a historic season with a 16-0 record, something not achieved since Yale accomplished it in 1894.

Both teams secured their place on college football’s biggest stage by knocking off the nation’s best during the 12-team playoffs.
